Back to school

Here's a little Autumn 'back to school' outfit. I chose brown paper because when I went to school in the US all the kids covered their books in it so they could draw and write all over them. I used ball-point pens to give it that 'just scribbled it on my book' look, and I tried two different backgrounds. What do you think?

Finished Triangles

A few weeks ago I showed you a rough draft of my triangles idea. Here is the finished piece using Copic markers. I like the vibrant colors they provide, but it's difficult to work with the bleed (depending on the paper you use).

Green dress

I've been working on doing a few different things, using the same basic figure template. This quick sketch was made using Copic markers.

Purple mini dress

I've been working on a series, using the same basic figure but with different materials and styles. Here's the next little piece in the series. I used gouache, ink, and glitter for this one, and I've shown a couple of progress photos below.

Collage

Just a quick collage and ink piece I did for class the other day. I was going for a semi geometric, Aztec sort of feeling with the cut-outs. What do you think?

Queen of the Desert

I saw this sexy shoe in the Canberra Centre magazine Culture, and knew it just had to be painted! I used watercolor, gouache, and ink to recreate 'Queen of the Desert' by Seduce ($169.95).
